Very few people use data because they want to promote racist or sexist ideas. However, it’s very easy to accidentally fall into these traps, particularly in the data-centric aspects of research and evaluation. It’s really easy to make mistakes when using data.
A working understanding of how to incorporate ethics and equity into data products is essential. This is an interactive skill-building course that delivers a seven-step process, real-world examples at each step and tools and checklist to guide you in your work after participating in the course.
The work has been of value to researchers, evaluators, analysts, anyone who works with data, and anyone who needs to help design, interpret or make decisions based on data using an equity lens.

Next course starting in October 2019
